Seriously. And they’re usually all the same gender too. It’s even more annoying because they archive them a week later and make more never-to-be-used characters. :/
I’ll admit when I was younger (by the way someone make a time machine, use it, find me six years ago and punch me really hard in the face for all the retarded shit I did like not organize my music files) I was guilty of this. However I’ve gotten much better. While I can’t RIGHT NOW use all the characters, every character I create has a role in the story, it’s just that the story isn’t a fully public one so you never really see that role unless I explain it or you happen to be Kate.
The only characters that really get made for the hell of it (or rather I should say the character who get made with no intention of being used in my story arc) is because they are adopted or someone else’s species and usually I’ll either RP with them in their head world with it or I’ll just doodle them all day because I really like the species and it’s nice to say you have one of your own that you can give love to and adore. Needless to say I don’t adopt critters much.
